May 11th, 2008

CH Products Pro Pedals USB Flight Simulator Pedals ( 300-111 ) Pro Pedals feature a realistic forward and back pedal motion for flying, as well as a pivot movement for driving games. They’re a great companion to CH Product’s line of joysticks and flight yokes. For flying, Pro Pedals work as rudders and toe brakes, while for driving they give you extra support and power to accelerate or brake. They’re made to withstand the toughest competitor. Designed with rugged, durable components, Pro Pedals will last longer and endure more wear-and-tear than ordinary pedals on the market. Hook Pro Pedals up with your favorite CH Products joystick and take off!
Customer Review: Husband loves them!
This was a gift for my husband, so I can’t offer up any technical info about them, but he loves them! He says that they tilt up and down, as well as shift back and forth, so there are 2 different movements that they do. Anyway, he thinks they are wonderful!

Customer Review: I may be crazy
Ok my son is a little people addict. He will only watch claymation, like “Wallace and Gromit”.
I have a bone to pick with this volume. I think the claymation designers had it in for Maggie. She is totally disportioned…look at how heavy her jaw is in thie video. I don’t know if you caught this (as you can see I watch these alot) in story where they bake the cake for the zoo keeper, there is a line “his present is flat as a pancake” they have Maggie speaking it, but it’s Michaels voice. cute Video none the less.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber Collection Another Compilation of Stage Favourites - Some Tracks Are Hard to Find Elsewhere.
Customer Review: The Andrew Lloyd Webber Collection
Sarah Brightman has always been a favorite of mine, and this CD is outstanding. The duet with Jose Carreras (Friends for Life) is especially good–worth buying the CD for that song alone.

The Departed (Full Screen Edition)

May 9th, 2008

The Departed (Full Screen Edition) Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson and Mark Wahlberg star in Martin Scorsese’s new crime drama “The Departed.” “The Departed” is set in South Boston where the state police force is waging an all-out war to take down the city’s top organized crime ring. The key is to end the reign of powerful mob boss Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) from the inside. A young rookie, Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) is assigned to infiltrate Costello’s mob. While Billy is working to gain Costello’s trust, another young cop, Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) is among a handful of elite officers whose mission is to bring Costello down. But what his superiors don’t know is that Colin is working for Costello, keeping the crime boss one step ahead of the police. Each man becomes deeply consumed by his double life, gathering information about the plans and counter-plans of the operation he has penetrated. But when it becomes clear to both the gangsters and the police that they have a mole in their midst, Billy and Colin find themselves in constant danger of being caught-and each must race to uncover the identity of the other man in time to save himself.
Customer Review: Thank You Mr Scorsese
This is just an amazing movie. For absolute Scorsese fans, it’s an unforgettable experience beyond all superlatives: superbly written, brilliantly directed, wonderfully acted, cleverly edited. Beautiful music, powerful dialogs, sex, drug and blood, we’re so close to perfection. What craftmanship!

Facing Future

May 2nd, 2008

Facing Future There’s a smart balance of traditional Hawaiiana and contemporary tunes on this CD. There’s heart-tugging warmth along with unexpected chuckles. The end result is a candid, honest reinforcement of his vocal breadth.
Customer Review: IZ’s Spirit
Iz’s music, especially in this CD captures the sounds and Spirit of Grandmother Kauai. If you have visited there, this music will have you closing your eyes and dreamily revisiting the beaches and especially the green mountain paths of Kauai.

Park-Zone 110-Volt Dual-Powered Battery-Powered Precision Parking Device #PZ-1500

May 1st, 2008

Park-Zone 110-Volt Dual-Powered Battery-Powered Precision Parking Device #PZ-1500 Park-Zone is an innovative precision-parking device for the home that’s easy to use and even easier to install. After a simple one-time setup, the Park-Zone uses its ultrasonic sensing mechanism to measure the distance from your car to the garage wall as you park. When you pull into the garage, you see the green light illuminate, then midway it changes to yellow, and when the light turns red you’re right where you want to be. In our book, this beats a tennis ball hanging on a string because it’s a lot easier to set up, it’s much more precise, and, unlike the tennis ball, it looks good in a garage. Anyone who parks in a small or crowded garage will appreciate the accuracy this gadget offers. The Park-Zone operates on AC power or on batteries that last an entire year. Stop bumping the back wall and get into the Park-Zone. –Brian Trinen
Customer Review: I don’t hit the wall anymore.
Easy to install. My 4 door pick up is a tight fit for my garage (I have a 2′ allowance). Before I installing this device I would occasionally bump the wall or have to pull up a bit further. Not any more — Perfect every time!!!

Danny Kirwins 3 gems…
Woman Of 1000 Years - Sands Of Time - Sometimes are real treats and save this otherwise mediocre album with newcomer Bob Welch who wrote the haunting title track, McVie’s Show me a Smile is also a highlight.

Toys in the Attic

April 29th, 2008

toys in the Attic Originally released in 1975, this was Aerosmith’s breakout recording. Listeners only familiar with their more recent, post-comeback material may be surprised; like their other albums from the 1970s, toys has a strong blues inflection, as indicated by their cover of “Big Ten Inch Record,” which also shows that Aerosmith has never lacked raunchiness or innuendo. There’s also the original (pre-Run-D.M.C.) version of “Walk This Way,” and the classic “Sweet Emotion.” This is classic Aerosmith at its gritty, streetwise best; they may have been derivative, but it really doesn’t matter, then or now: it’s all in good fun. –Genevieve Williams
Customer Review: Great Rock n Roll
Withstands the passage of time. Brings back memories of College days. Much simpler times….

Just great meaty rock and roll.

Stranger Than Fiction

April 29th, 2008

Stranger Than Fiction An IRS auditor suddenly finds himself the subject of narration only he can hear: narration that begins to effect his entire life, from his work, to his love-interest, to his death.

System Requirements:
Running Time: 113 Mins.
Customer Review: Ehhhh…..
I’m a huge fan of Will Ferrell. I also adore the work of Emma Thompson. To pair these two together had the potential to create one of the best comedies ever. Sadly, the writing on this flick was less than comedic. Will Ferrell’s comic timing was dead on, and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s appearance as his would-be love interest was perhaps the single most believable aspect of this movie, due to spectacular onscreen chemistry. The story, however, failed to deliver all that it promised in the previews. It’s sad when the only funny moments in a comedy are those presented in the 30 second commercial advertising its release, but that is the case with this movie. As a writer, I had such high hopes for this flick. It was an interesting concept which flopped big time in the hands of a writer that stopped with the conception of the idea rather than seeing it through to development.

In addition to all the making, there’s a whole lotta craftin’ planned for Bay Area Maker Faire. Erica writes - I’ve been trying to make my own boots based on information from a few different sources - the book “How to Make Your Own Shoes” by Mary Wales Loomis, bits of advice from various friends who work in design or have experience with shoemaking, and a few pairs of shoes that I have taken apart to study - and I’m feeling really confused and overwhelmed. I’m at the point where if I make one false move I’ll render the shoes completely useless and unwearable. So I’m hopng that any light Tom [Maiorana] can shed on the process will be helpful to me. And if for some reason that doesn’t work out - you can always try making a brain machine - now that’s variety. - How to Make Your Own Shoes…the Easy Way! @ Maker Faire - Boots on Flickr Related: Make Your Own Shoes [Read this article] [Comment on this article]
