Trilogy of Terror
Legendary producer / director Dan Curtis (DARK SHADOWS, THE NIGHT STALKER) teams up with writers Richard Matheson (I AM LEGEND, THE TWILIGHT ZONE) and William F. Nolan (LOGAN’S RUN, BURNT OFFERINGS) to present three tales of horrific suspense in this made-for-television anthology that also showcases the tremendous acting talent of Karen Black (FIVE EASY PIECES, THE DAY OF THE LOCUST), who plays no less than four distinct roles. In “Julie,” an aggressive college student seduces and ultimately blackmails his seemingly shy English professor. In “Millicent and Therese,” two polar-opposite sisters become increasingly hell-bent on the undoing of one another. And in “Amelia,” a woman falls prey to a murderous Zuni fetish doll.
Customer Review: Great TV movie from the 70s
The African zulu doll segment is worth buying this DVD for. I remember seeing this TV movie as a kid back in the 70s. There are others TV movies I am looking for: 79 Park Avenue (miniseries), Sweet Hostage with Linda Blair, Wonder Woman with Cathy Lee Crosby.

MAKE Magazine on Facebook
Here’s an experiment, Facebook now allows brand/businesses to have a page on Facebook so we added a MAKE Magazine one. I’m not sure what we’ll do with this or if makers want to use Facebook to connect up with other makers, etc - but it’s up there now. Feel free to poke around and add yourself as a fan… If it’s useful and takes off we’ll do cool stuff with it - Link. [Read this article] [Comment on this article]

BBB (DIY Arduino-compatible board) @ November 2007 Providence Geek Dinner
Paul Badger, the maker of the Bare Bones Board (an Arduino-compatible board you can build yourself) is presenting at this month’s Providence Geek Dinner. At Maker Faire Austin, Paul gave a couple of talks on the BBB and helped some folks assemble theirs at the Maker Store. Paul Badger teaches physical computing and electronic media at RISD, and is the Founder of Providence-Based Modern Device Company. He had long been using microcontrollers in his classes when he became aware of the Arduino open-source hardware and software initiative… Paul is the inventor of the first Arduino board not created by the “official” Arduino team, the Bare Bones Board. Hello from Tokyo
Hello from Tokyo, internet access is a little tough for me at the moment where I am staying but there’s a daily way for me to get access now! The first day there was a quick trip to Ginza, (”Silver seat”) is considered one of the super-high end shopping areas of Tokyo. The toy store on the very end of the main street Ginza-dori has numerous hobbyist kits and models, but the real treat today was finding these electronic kits as well as hobby kits at a gigantic electronics store (7 floors) called “BIG CAMERA” - some of the kits are in a box with a small magazine-like publication attached. This might be an interesting way for us at MAKE to do kits one day, maybe all the parts in the box with the latest MAKE that has the project and more, fun to consider! Here are some pictures. The phonograph and electronic blocks will likely be coming home with me. If you’re in Tokyo, MAKE will be here this week: Dorkbot Tokyo (http://jo.swo.jp/) Date: 2007.11.18 (18:00 open, 18:30 start) Place: 9001 Sozokukan 9001, http://9001.tv/ 1-1-75, Sakuragi-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama-shi [Read this article] [Comment on this article]
